Home from home but with a view Positive: It was beautiful and in a perfect location

Perfect Penarth in a fabulous property. Positive: A perfect and beautiful view of the beachfront and pier. The rear courtyard is well planned, lovely plants and bulbs offering colour in February, with eclectic seating areas. We had a room with ensuite, not an apartment as we were only staying for 2nights. The property is both modern, comfortable and clean with a secluded outdoor seating terrace. Our large room was on the 3rd floor- no9, very peaceful. I found the lovely lady cleaning an apartment to request clean towels, which were dutifully left for us in a bag outside our room. We were asked if we would like our room servicing- but gave assurance we were fine . Negative: There is nothing to dislike!

Very disappointed with the lack of advertised facilities and no attempt to fix problems. Positive: Location. General standard of the room. Negative: None of the 3-pin electric wall-plugs were working. This meant that most of the facilities advertised as being available (eg refrigerator, TV) were not. We had to take a kettle downstairs just to boil water. Very concerning was that when we called for help at around 22pm on arrival day (Dec 26) we were told the office was closed. There was no alternative back up. We were able to make contact the next morning and were told the problem would be fixed during the day. It was not, and so when we returned for the 2nd evening we were still without most facilities There was no message or explanation from the office. Monetary compensation was offered but the company refused to increase what was considered by us to be an inadequate sum.

Positive: Location, room, Bathroom. Negative: TV didn’t connect and WiFi signal was poor.

Positive: Beautifully furnished and spacious room. Shame we didnt get a sea view, would ve been perfect Negative: All good
