Courtyard Room 9

Really lovely hotel apart from the broken boiler Positive: The room was spotless and really spacious with plenty of included refreshments. Brilliant location and very well looked after. Christina was a really friendly and helpful member of staff. If the boiler hadn't been broken it would have been a fantastic place to stay. Negative: Unfortunately while we were staying at the hotel there was absolutely no hot water. I contacted the hotel via the messaging portal and just received an apology for the inconvenience but no attempt at a solution and no other communication. We were only staying one night and by 10am there was still no progress so we had to have a cold wash and check out. I fully understand a broken boiler is unavoidable but I expected more from the management than just a sorry when you're unable to shower in a heatwave.

Positive: Lovely clean modern hotel room, very comfortable bed. The coffee machine was an added bonus.

Positive: The room was large, modern and comfortable. The location, next to the pier, was ideal for my plan to sail from the pier on the paddle steamer Waverley. (Photo of the pier attached; this was literally across the road from the hotel.) Negative: Steep steps up to the entrance.
